This mat is nice and cushy. What I like best about it so far is that the edges don’t pop up when you step near the edge. My old one was doing that after about 4-5 years, major trip hazard. This one seems tougher, I think it will hold up better. The only negative is that the finish is dull-ish and when you sweep hair off of it, some hair sticks to the surface. I give it a blast with the hair dryer and most of it comes off.
